Aid Includes Food, Medical Supplies, and Essential Items Amid Ongoing Conflict Pause
Singapore will deliver its seventh tranche of humanitarian aid to Gaza, consisting of food, medical supplies, and essential items, as part of ongoing efforts to support civilians affected by the Israel-Hamas conflict. The aid will be transported via the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft and handed over to partners in Jordan. This comes amid a ceasefire agreement, which has paused fighting since January 19, 2024, and facilitated the release of hostages and prisoners.
Since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas conflict in October 2023, Singapore has provided over S$19 million (approximately USD 14 million) in humanitarian assistance to Gaza. The latest tranche, coordinated with Jordanian partners, underscores Singapore’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities affected by the war. The Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF) will also launch a new fundraising campaign during Ramadan in March 2025.
