In a sweeping anti-narcotics operation, Singapore’s Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested four Singaporeans and seized drugs valued at over S$1 million on January 4, 2025. From the suspects, CNB seized 1,855g of heroin, 1,241g of Ice, 98 Ecstasy tablets, 300 Erimin-5 tablets, and 21g of cannabis. The seized drugs could potentially fuel the addiction of 4,590 users in just one week, underscoring the severity of the operation’s findings.

A subsequent raid on a residential unit linked to the 27-year-old suspect uncovered additional contraband, including 73g of Ice, 21g of heroin, and smaller quantities of Ecstasy and Erimin-5 tablets. A 25-year-old woman, believed to be a drug abuser, was also detained during the operation.

Under Singaporean law, trafficking in 15g or more of pure heroin, 250g of Ice, or 500g of cannabis carries the mandatory death penalty. The CNB reaffirmed its commitment to bringing traffickers to justice, emphasizing the harm caused to individuals, families, and communities.
