Challenges in Relocation Efforts
BP Batam, tasked with managing the project, revealed that 961 households are affected by the development. Of these, 433 households have agreed to relocation, with 41 families already resettled in new homes in Tanjung Banun. Remaining relocation efforts are targeted for completion in 2025.

Housing and Compensation Packages
Displaced residents are being offered 500 square meters of land and a 45-square-meter permanent house, along with monetary compensation for lost assets. Housing infrastructure includes access to schools, sports facilities, and public services.

Conflicts and Local Resistance
Tensions between developers and local communities have slowed project progress. A major clash in September 2023 highlighted the challenges in balancing economic ambitions with social harmony. BP Batam claims opposition has diminished significantly since.
