In response to escalating living costs, the Singapore government is rolling out cash payouts under the Assurance Package. Nearly 2.9 million citizens will receive up to S$600 in December 2024, alongside healthcare and retirement support for over 3 million Singaporeans.
As part of its commitment to mitigate the impact of inflation and rising healthcare costs, the Singapore government has enhanced its Assurance Package. Over 2.9 million Singaporeans aged 21 and above will receive cash payouts in December 2024, with additional healthcare and retirement benefits for other age groups.
Assurance Package Cash Payouts
Eligible Singaporeans will receive cash payouts ranging from S$200 to S$600 based on income levels. This initiative is designed to provide financial relief for lower- and middle-income households amidst rising costs of living.

MediSave Top-Ups for Healthcare Costs
Approximately 1.4 million Singaporeans born between 1974 and 2003 will receive MediSave top-ups of between S$300 and S$500. Older citizens born in 1973 or earlier will receive larger MediSave bonuses of either S$1,250 or S$2,000 under the Majulah Package.
Retirement Savings Boost
Around 800,000 Singaporeans aged 51 and older will gain an additional Retirement Savings Bonus of S$1,000 to S$1,500, deposited directly into their CPF accounts. The payout amount depends on their current CPF savings.
Automatic Credit System
Payments will be automatically credited to eligible recipients starting December 2024. Notifications will be sent via SMS or letters, depending on the recipient’s Singpass registration status.
