The Batam City Election Commission (KPU) has started receiving crucial logistical supplies, including voting booths and ballot boxes, to ensure a smooth and efficient electoral process for the upcoming 2024 local elections, reflecting a well-organized preparatory phase.
As part of the preparations for the 2024 local head elections (Pilkada) in Batam, the city’s Election Commission has begun receiving key logistical supplies to support the voting process. These supplies have already been secured in the commission’s warehouse, ensuring readiness for the electoral event.
The Batam City Election Commission, led by its chair Mawardi, has confirmed the receipt of 3,666 ballot boxes and 7,284 voting booths, now securely stored in the KPU warehouse. These materials are crucial for setting up the voting stations across the city.

In addition to the booths and boxes, the KPU has received other essential items, including 3,642 bottles of indelible ink, 86,382 seals, and 22,932 cable ties, which are instrumental for securing the ballot boxes and maintaining the integrity of the voting process.
Mawardi emphasized that the delivery of other logistical items will be phased. Continuous monitoring ensures that all necessary materials, still in production or transit, arrive on time to avoid any disruptions to the scheduled election processes.
The logistics for the election have been supplied by reputable firms, ensuring quality and reliability. The timely delivery of these items was facilitated by companies like PT. Santoso Jawi Abadi and PT. Sagapo Express, demonstrating effective coordination and planning by the KPU Batam.
