In a spirited ceremony at Dataran Engku Putri, Batam Center, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Batam City Mayor, Muhammad Rudi, called for enhanced optimization of existing transportation infrastructures to improve service quality for the public, marking the National Transportation Day (Harhubnas) 2024.
The celebration of Harhubnas 2024, under the theme “Advanced Transportation for a New Archipelago,” reflects the transportation sector’s consistency in advancing and the hope that achievements from the past decade continue to evolve. This aligns with President Jokowi’s vision of achieving a progressive, sovereign, independent Indonesia founded on communal cooperation.

Mayor Rudi emphasized the significant impact of efficient, competitive transportation systems on public mobility and economic growth, noting that good transportation is fundamental to societal progress and economic development.
