Apple has officially released its latest smartphone series, the iPhone 16, globally. The announcement was made by CEO Tim Cook during the Glowtime event at Cupertino, California, streamed live to audiences worldwide on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024.
During the highly anticipated Glowtime event, Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced the iPhone 16, marking the start of a new era for the tech giant with significant enhancements designed to integrate Apple Intelligence from the ground up.
The iPhone 16, with a 6.1-inch display, starts at US$799 (approximately Rp12.36 million), while the iPhone 16 Plus with a 6.7-inch display begins at US$899 (approximately Rp13.91 million). These models offer various memory options ranging from 128GB to 512GB.
The iPhone 16 series features the new A18 chip processor, enhancing overall performance. Notably, the series introduces an Action Button across all variants, not just the Pro models. This addition aims to enrich user interactivity and accessibility.
The iPhone 16 Pro variants boast a Grade 5 titanium design, available in two screen sizes: 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches. These models represent the pinnacle of Apple’s design and technology advancements, offering superior durability and aesthetic appeal.

Alongside the iPhone 16, Apple also launched the latest iterations of the Apple Watch and AirPods, further expanding its ecosystem of devices and enhancing the integrated user experience.
