The Batam Class 1 Special Immigration Office has installed autogate systems at two of its international ferry ports to streamline the departure and arrival process for travelers heading to Singapore, while manual checks remain for those traveling to Malaysia.

To enhance the efficiency of travel between Batam and Singapore, the Batam Class 1 Special Immigration Office has equipped two key ferry ports with state-of-the-art autogate systems, aiming to expedite the immigration process for thousands of daily commuters.

Fifteen autogate units have been strategically placed at the Batam Center International Ferry Port and Harbourbay Ferry Port, with separate gates designated for arrivals and departures.
