National Tourism Association and Lions Club Singapore Distribute School Supplies in Tanjungpinang and Bintan

In a joint effort to support education in underprivileged areas, the National Tourism Association of Kepri (Asparnas Kepri) and the Lions Club Singapore have provided over 650 school supply kits to elementary students in Tanjungpinang and Bintan.

This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of Asparnas Kepri and Lions Club Singapore to enhance educational opportunities for children in less affluent coastal communities, fostering a better learning environment and supporting academic growth.

The symbolic handover of the school supplies took place at SD 008 Tanjungpinang in Tanjung Sebauk and at SD 018 in Bintan, Batu Licin.

Each student received a package containing essential school items such as bags, hats, tumblers, stationery, books, and more, aimed at easing their educational journey.

The focus was primarily on elementary school students from low-income families living in coastal areas, with the goal of alleviating their educational burdens.

Besides educational materials, the beneficiaries also received milk to encourage them to stay energetic and focused on their studies.

Teguh Ahmad Syafari, the Head of the Education Department in Tanjungpinang, expressed gratitude for the support and hopes for continued assistance in the coming years.
