Batam Mayor Muhammad Rudi, alongside Riau Islands Deputy Governor Marlin Agustina, attended the TKBM Cooperative Family Gathering to present Batam’s future infrastructure development plans. During the event themed “Strengthening Professionalism in Port Services for a Modern and Prosperous Batam,” Rudi emphasized Batam’s potential and his commitment to reviving the city’s economy through ambitious projects.

During the TKBM Cooperative Family Gathering at Golden View Hotel, Bengkong, Batam, Mayor Muhammad Rudi shared his vision for Batam’s future with members of the cooperative. He emphasized his mandate from President Joko Widodo to revive Batam’s economy through comprehensive infrastructure development, including Batuampar Port, Hang Nadim Airport, and the Sekupang Health Special Economic Zone.

Rudi plans to transform Batuampar Port into a key revenue generator, targeting a capacity of 3 million containers within the next 4-5 years.

A new terminal will be constructed at Hang Nadim Airport, starting at the end of May, to improve regional connectivity.

Rudi aims to complete Batam’s road infrastructure by 2029, supporting seamless connectivity across the city.

The Sekupang Health SEZ will provide world-class healthcare services, reducing the need for citizens to seek treatment abroad.

Rudi and Marlin Agustina provided assistance to the families of TKBM Cooperative members, reinforcing their commitment to social welfare.
