During a recent bilateral meeting in the Netherlands, Indonesian Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Arifin Tasrif invited Dutch companies to invest in Indonesia’s clean energy and inter-island electricity infrastructure sectors. Minister Arifin Tasrif’s visit underscores Indonesia’s commitment to enhancing its clean energy capabilities through international collaboration. The meeting with the Dutch Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Climate and Energy Policy, Rob Jetten, highlighted the potential for substantial Dutch investment in Indonesia’s burgeoning clean energy sector.

Arifin’s discussions with Rob Jetten focused on inviting Dutch companies to invest in clean energy projects and develop inter-island electricity infrastructure in Indonesia.

The meeting builds on previous agreements, including a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in Bali on September 1, 2022, during the G20 Energy Transitions Ministerial Meeting, which focused on cooperation in energy transition to combat climate change.

The discussions also referenced a Joint Study Agreement between PT Pertamina Power Indonesia and Pondera Development BV, which is a direct result of the ongoing collaborative efforts.
