In a recent crackdown on drug use and the circulation of unlicensed alcoholic beverages in Batam’s nightclubs, the Kepri Police’s Narcotics Directorate (Ditresnarkoba), in collaboration with customs and military personnel, detained six individuals for testing positive for narcotics on Saturday night, February 10, 2024. The operation also led to the seizure of 18 bottles of alcoholic beverages lacking proper tax stamps across various establishments in the city.
The raid, part of an ongoing Prevention, Eradication, Abuse, and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics (P4GN) program and alcohol regulation efforts in Kepri, targeted four popular nightspots: Morena PUB & KTV, Dynasti PUB & KTV, Foreplay PUB & KTV, and Bombastic PUB & KTV. The operation reflects the authorities’ commitment to maintaining a safe and lawful entertainment environment in Batam.
