Under the leadership of Kombes Pol Dony Alexander, the Dirresnarkoba Polda Kepri, a series of operations were conducted at various nightlife spots in the Riau Islands, particularly in Batam, on Sunday, January 21, 2024. These operations are part of a concerted effort to combat the illegal circulation of narcotics and unlicensed alcoholic beverages in the area.
This initiative represents the Kepri Police’s serious commitment to eradicating drug trafficking in Batam, in collaboration with related institutions such as the Military Police (POM AU, POM AD, POM AL), and the Batam Customs and Excise.
The operation covered seven different locations, including prominent nightclubs and entertainment venues, focusing on preventing the entry and circulation of illegal alcoholic beverages and narcotics.

Despite not finding any narcotics during the operations, the success was evident in the seizure of alcoholic beverages lacking proper excise stamps.
This preventive measure aims to reduce the potential risks associated with the circulation of illegal alcoholic beverages and tighten surveillance of nightlife activities.
The police also encourage public cooperation and active participation in maintaining security and reporting any potential narcotics circulation in the Riau Islands.
