PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) and PT PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) have inked a landmark Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PLN Batam, heralding the commencement of Batam’s first floating solar power project at Waduk Tembesi.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards sustainable energy utilization in Indonesia, particularly on Batam Island, aiming to provide clean and affordable energy to the local populace.

With a capacity of 46 MWp, utilizing a portion of the Waduk Tembesi area, the project aligns with regulations permitting up to 5% of reservoir areas for floating solar development, setting a precedent for future projects in Batam.
