This initiative is aimed at enriching the island’s tourist attractions with a facility that can host concerts and major events, accommodating up to 60,000 attendees, thereby enhancing the local economy and supporting small and medium enterprises.
Amidst a significant uptick in international tourist arrivals, BP Batam emphasizes the urgent need for a comprehensive performance center to sustain and accelerate this growth, envisioning it as a linchpin in achieving their tourism targets.
Ariastuty Sirait, Head of Public Relations, Promotion, and Protocol at BP Batam, highlighted the economic and social benefits of such a venue, underlining its potential to host large-scale events and support local businesses.

With a goal of attracting 2 million tourists in the current year, Batam’s ambitious target is bolstered by a steady increase in international visitors, demonstrated by a significant rise from 710,954 in 2022 to over 1 million in the first 11 months of 2023 alone.
