Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, expressed confidence in achieving this goal during his visit to Batam on January 1, 2024.

In 2023, Batam contributed 1.5 million of the total 11 million international visitors to Indonesia, reinforcing its position as the country’s third-largest entry point for international tourists.

Strategic plans include organizing international standard events in Batam and Bintan, focusing on culture, sports, arts, ecotourism, and trending activities.
