Dewan Pimpinan Daerah (Depidar) XXXII Sentral Organisasi Karyawan Swadiri Indonesia (SOKSI) Provinsi Kepri is conducting a comprehensive training program on technology-based marketing management for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM) in Kepri province. This initiative seeks to empower 300 local UMKM in Tanjungpinang by enhancing their digital marketing skills.

In today’s technologically-driven era, mastering digital marketing skills has become indispensable for small and medium enterprises, enabling them to tap into the vast market potential offered by the digital realm.

The training, overseen by Ketua Depidar XXXII Soksi Kepri, Ade Angga, has emerged as one of Soksi’s key programs, dedicated to the growth of UMKM in the Kepri region. This initiative builds upon similar activities undertaken two years ago, with a focus on the empowerment of UMKM. Notably, Soksi Kepri also provided capital to support 150 UMKM ventures.

This year’s program further extends its focus by encouraging UMKM players to enhance their product marketing strategies through information technology (IT) and digital platforms. The training seeks to familiarize those who have not yet ventured into the world of IT with technology’s role in business marketing.

Today’s UMKM operators, in an era dominated by digital trends, are increasingly required to harness the power of IT. The training imparts knowledge on marketing UMKM products via social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The curriculum hones in on digital marketing techniques and strategies.

The hope is that UMKM participants absorb the knowledge conveyed by the experts, enabling them to realize the potential of digital marketing and adapt accordingly.

Rizki Faisal, a member of the Kepri Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), recognizes the value of such training and highlights the importance of continuity. Beyond the creation of digital marketing initiatives, there is a need to connect directly with consumers using digital channels.

The training provided by Soksi in Kepri province is a testament to the growing significance of digital marketing skills for businesses, including those beyond the local context. This initiative is a step towards ensuring UMKM operators can remain competitive and adaptable in a technology-driven marketplace, which holds relevance for international visitors and businesses looking to engage with the local market.

In Kepri province, Soksi’s digital marketing training program aims to empower 300 small and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM) in Tanjungpinang by enhancing their digital marketing skills. The curriculum focuses on leveraging technology for marketing success and draws praise from participants and legislators alike, signifying the growing importance of digital skills in today’s business landscape.
