PT Damai Lautan Nusantara (DLN), a renowned ferry transportation company, announces the inauguration of a new route connecting Jakarta, Batam, and Belawan, starting from next October.
The company has established its reputation in the ferry transportation domain, notably through its active routes between Surabaya-Lombok and Merak-Bakauheni.
The brand new ship, KMP DLN Nusantara, is set to serve this route. Measuring 130 meters in length, this state-of-the-art vessel was produced this year.
Designed for comfort and efficiency, the ship offers a capacity of 1,100 passengers, featuring 680 beds, 350 seats, 12 VIP rooms, and amenities including a dining area, canteen, smoking room, and a children’s playground.
The multi-tiered ship can also accommodate a diverse range of vehicles. Its lower deck holds 24 large trucks, while the main deck can contain 62 large trucks, 6 medium trucks, and the upper deck has room for 50 medium trucks and 80 small vehicles.
PT DLN emphasizes its commitment to safety, ensuring that the ship doesn’t exceed its capacity and that no unauthorized ticketing agents (touts) are involved.
In line with its mission to connect the archipelago and contribute to regional development, PT DLN hopes the new route will not only help locals in their travels but will also spur Batam’s economy.
