A delegation from Solok district, led by its Secretary, Medison, has visited Batam City’s administration to explore potential economic partnerships amidst Batam’s rapid growth and transformation into a modern city.
The attention around Batam’s swift development has been turning heads across Indonesia. The city’s evolution into a modern hub has been making waves, and other regions are keen on leveraging its success.
Medison, Solok’s Secretary, expressed not only a desire to foster a closer relationship with Batam but also to establish economic collaborations. He mentioned, “We aim to promote our products and hopefully extend this collaboration further.”
Thanking Solok for choosing Batam as their visitation area, Batam’s Secretary, Jefridin, emphasized Batam’s resilience in managing inflation despite not being dependent on natural resources.
Jefridin credited the city’s rapid economic growth post-Covid-19 to the Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi’s strategic decision to keep the manufacturing industry running as Batam’s economic backbone.
Another significant factor in Batam’s success, according to Jefridin, was the harmonious collaboration amongst the city’s leadership, particularly after the pandemic, propelling Batam’s economy.
As part of their vision to establish a prosperous and modern new city, Batam’s administration, under Mayor Muhammad Rudi, is aggressively pushing forward with development projects, including the construction of a five-lane protocol road.
Batam’s emergence as a modern economic hub can signify enhanced business opportunities and travel experiences for Singaporeans and international tourists alike. With improved infrastructure and a booming economy, Batam promises more diverse and enriching interactions for its neighboring countries and visitors globally.
Batam’s impressive post-Covid-19 economic growth has spurred a delegation visit from Solok district. The two regions aim to explore economic collaborations, with Batam showcasing its successful strategies, including emphasis on manufacturing and harmonious leadership. This progress in Batam hints at increased opportunities for Singapore and the global community.
