Newly inaugurated Aurum area in Batam poised to drive economic growth and urban appeal.

Aurum Batam has officially launched as the region’s latest integrated development, set to transform Batam into a premier destination for investors and urban dwellers alike. Backed by strategic vision and strong infrastructure, this area holds the promise of becoming a key catalyst for regional progress.

A Visionary Urban Hub

On May 16, 2025, Tana Group officially launched Aurum, a 20-hectare mixed-use development in Bengkong, Batam. Envisioned as a “24/7 Urban Hub,” Aurum is set to become a central point for business, entertainment, and lifestyle activities, operating around the clock.

Introducing the SOBIZ Concept

Aurum introduces the SOBIZ (Shop-Office-Business) concept, a first in Indonesia. These three-story units are designed for multifunctional use, accommodating retail, office, and business spaces within a single building. Each unit ranges from 205 to 248 square meters and features separate access points for different functions.

Strategic Location and Economic Impact

Situated in Bengkong, an area rapidly evolving into a lifestyle destination, Aurum benefits from its proximity to Singapore and Malaysia. The development aligns with Batam’s economic growth, which reached 6.69% in 2024, surpassing national and regional averages.

Investment Opportunities and Incentives

Aurum offers units starting at IDR 2 billion (approximately SGD 160,000). Early investors can take advantage of promotional offers, including discounts of up to IDR 270 million (around SGD 21,600), waived fees, and exclusive travel packages. Construction is slated to begin in late 2025, with unit handovers expected by October 2027.

A Catalyst for Regional Growth

The launch of Aurum signifies a pivotal moment in Batam’s urban development, offering a blend of business, leisure, and residential spaces. Its strategic location and innovative design are poised to attract both local and international investors, particularly from neighboring Singapore and Malaysia.

Aurum Batam exemplifies how strategic urban planning and cross-border collaboration can reshape regional economies. For Indonesians, it signals new job opportunities and a modern lifestyle. For Singaporeans, it opens doors to cost-efficient, high-potential investments just a short ferry ride away. With its golden promise, Aurum is not just a name—it’s a blueprint for Batam’s prosperous future.
