During the meeting, BP Batam presented ongoing and future development projects, including the floating solar power plants (PLTS) at Tembesi and Duriangkang reservoirs, which align with Indonesia’s sustainability goals. Investors were also briefed on the planned Light Rapid Transit (LRT) system, which aims to reduce traffic congestion and cut carbon emissions.
One of the Italian executives praised Batam’s commitment to infrastructure and green energy, stating:
“We did not expect Batam to meet all our investment criteria. We are particularly excited about the environmentally friendly infrastructure projects and hope to see them realized soon.”
