Property agent intervenes after witnessing child allegedly encouraged to kiss man for cash

A man has filed a police report after witnessing a troubling incident at Lucky Plaza where a child was allegedly encouraged to kiss a stranger in exchange for money.

Incident Reported at Lucky Plaza
A property agent in Singapore has reported a disturbing incident involving a young child at Lucky Plaza shopping mall.

Francis Michael said he witnessed a stranger offering money to a child and encouraging her to kiss him while he was having lunch at a coffee shop in the mall’s basement around 2.45pm on March 8.

Man Allegedly Offered Money to Child
According to Michael, a group of four to five women believed to be Filipino domestic workers were seated nearby with a child who appeared to be about four years old.

He alleged that a man seated a few seats away waved a $5 note at the child, and the helper encouraged the child to take the money and kiss the man on the cheek.

Confrontation When Incident Repeated
Michael said the situation escalated minutes later when the man allegedly repeated the act, this time waving a $50 note.

He then intervened and confronted the helper and the man, saying the situation was inappropriate and unacceptable.

Police Report Filed After Incident
The confrontation drew attention from the coffee shop manager, who reportedly said security camera footage of the incident was available if needed for investigation.

Michael later filed a police report, and Singapore police confirmed that they are currently looking into the matter.

Witness Emphasises Protecting Children
Michael said he acted because he believed any adult should step in when a child’s safety could be at risk.

He added that protecting children should be everyone’s responsibility, regardless of whose child it is.

The incident has sparked concerns about child safety in public spaces. Authorities are now reviewing the case as investigations continue into what exactly happened at Lucky Plaza.
