New facility features 55 charging points including ultra-fast 480kW chargers
Electric vehicle drivers in Singapore now have access to one of the country’s largest public charging hubs, with the opening of a new facility at Great World offering ultra-fast charging technology and expanded options for EV users.
Largest Public EV Charging Hub Opens
Allgreen Malls and Great Charge have launched a new EV charging hub at Great World shopping mall.
Located in the B3 and B3A lobby carparks at 1 Kim Seng Promenade, the facility features a total of 55 charging points, making it one of the largest public charging hubs in Singapore.
Ultra-Fast 480kW Chargers Introduced
The hub includes 20 ultra-fast 480kW DC chargers built by Huawei, among the most powerful publicly available chargers in the country.
These chargers can add up to 200km of driving range in about five minutes for compatible electric vehicles.
Multiple Charging Options for Drivers
Besides the ultra-fast units, the facility also provides 12 fast 180kW DC chargers and 23 slower 22kW AC chargers.
This mix allows EV drivers to choose between faster charging for quick stops or slower, more affordable charging during longer visits to the mall.
Charging Designed for Future EV Models
Although current EVs typically support charging speeds up to about 350kW, the new Huawei chargers are designed to be future-ready.
This ensures compatibility with upcoming electric vehicle models that may support even higher charging capacities.
Promotions Offered to Early Users
To mark the launch, charging rates have been set at promotional prices of $0.600 per kWh for DC chargers and $0.545 per kWh for AC chargers.
Drivers who spend at least $20 on charging can also receive rewards or promotional perks, including parking credits and complimentary meals for taxi and private-hire drivers.
The opening of the Great World EV charging hub marks another step in Singapore’s push toward electric mobility. With faster charging speeds and expanded infrastructure, the facility aims to support growing EV adoption while making charging more convenient for drivers across the city.
