Man allegedly kills wife, torches vehicles, then walks into police station to confess

After the murder, the suspect drove approximately 40km to his mother-in-law’s house in Lenga, Muar. There, he attempted to set the house on fire. While the house remained intact, several vehicles parked in front were successfully torched. Fortunately, no injuries were reported at the second scene.
Suspect Surrenders to Police
At around 7am on June 4, the suspect walked into the Bukit Gambir police station and reportedly confessed to both the murder and the arson. His surrender helped authorities swiftly link the two incidents and secure the scene. He is expected to be remanded at the Tangkak Magistrate’s Court.
Police Confirm Arrest and Ongoing Investigation
Tangkak District Police Chief Superintendent Roslan Mohd Talib confirmed the arrest but withheld further comment, citing the active investigation.
