The man grabbed Lin’s hand and bit down so hard he tore off a chunk of flesh, which was later found inside the truck.

The assailant, identified as 51-year-old permanent resident Yatham Naga Venkata Sateesh, was charged and appeared in court on May 27, 2025. He pleaded not guilty, claiming self-defense. Yatham alleged that Lin had struck him on the neck and covered his face, leading him to bite in an attempt to breathe.
