Pawai Takbir to Highlight Batam’s Idul Fitri Celebrations
The Batam City Government has revealed that this year’s Pawai Takbir will take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025. The procession, a highly anticipated part of the Idul Fitri festivities, will begin at Masjid Agung Raja Hamidah and proceed through several routes, including Simpang Kepri Mall and Laluan Madani. The event will also feature a decorated car competition, open to local authorities, businesses, and community groups, with a total prize pool of IDR 36 million (SGD 3,000) for the winners.
Salah Idul Fitri at Dataran Engku Putri and Other Venues
The main Salah Idul Fitri in Batam will be held at Dataran Engku Putri on Monday, March 31, 2025. If the weather is unfavorable, the prayers will be moved to Masjid Agung Raja Hamidah. In addition, two other government mosques, Masjid Sultan Mahmud Riayat Syah and Masjid Baiturrahman Sekupang, will also hold Idul Fitri prayers. The city’s leadership has made preparations, including appointing imams, khatibs, and bilals for each venue.
Open House Hosted by Batam Mayor Amsakar Achmad
