Kota Tinggi Crash Leaves One Dead, Teen in Critical Condition After 4×4-Trailer Collision

A 51-year-old woman, identified as Jelambai Anak Rirong, tragically lost her life in a road accident involving her 4×4 pickup truck and a 40-foot trailer carrying sand near a traffic light junction in Taman Sri Saujana, Kota Tinggi, on February 5, 2025, at around 9:18 AM.

The Fatal Collision

The accident occurred at 9:18 AM near a traffic light in Taman Sri Saujana, involving a 4×4 pickup truck driven by Jelambai Anak Rirong and a 40-foot trailer carrying sand. The collision was severe, causing Jelambai to become trapped inside the vehicle.

Kota Tinggi Fire and Rescue Department, led by Commander Saiful Afiz Sidek, deployed six personnel to the scene. Rescuers used hydraulic cutting tools to free Jelambai, but she was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The injured were rushed to Kota Tinggi Hospital for treatment.
