The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) and Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) are set to conduct the Indosin 2025 Coordinated Patrol in the Singapore and Phillips Straits next year. The upcoming operation reflects ongoing efforts by both countries to enhance regional maritime security.
Plans for the 2025 Indosin Patrol were confirmed in a recent meeting between Indonesia’s Fleet Command I (Koarmada I) Commander Rear Admiral Yoos Suryono and Singapore’s Maritime Security Command leader, Colonel Ng Xun Xi, in Changi on October 25, 2024. The mission focuses on reinforcing security in critical maritime routes like the Singapore and Phillips Straits, known for their high volume of international shipping.
Colonel Yoni Nova Kusumawan, Head of the Navy Information Service, confirmed the upcoming operation, highlighting the strategic partnership between the Indonesian and Singaporean navies in securing the region’s waters. “Patkor Indosin 2025 will be held in the Singapore and Phillips Straits,” Yoni noted, emphasizing the operational importance.

Rear Admiral Yoos expressed that cooperation with Singapore is essential for maintaining maritime stability in the area. “This visit fosters operational and training collaboration through joint exercises like the Indosin patrol,” Yoos shared in a press release.
Admiral Muhammad Ali, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, has also extended an invitation to the Singapore Navy to join Indonesia’s upcoming Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo (MNEK) in Bali in February 2025, an event promoting wider naval cooperation among ASEAN allies.
The Indosin 2025 patrol will be managed by Indonesia’s Fleet Command I Sea Security Task Force, which operates with two warships, KRI Golok-688 and KRI Krait-827, under TNI AL’s regular schedule of four coordinated patrols annually in partnership with the Singapore Navy.
