Mawardi, the Chairperson of Batam’s KPU, emphasized the importance of early distribution to these outer regions to guarantee that the electoral process runs smoothly and inclusively across all areas of Batam. The commission’s logistical effort signifies a critical step in preparing for a fair and accessible election.
The hinterland areas, categorized as the most distant and outermost regions of Batam, were the first to receive election logistics, highlighting the KPU’s commitment to ensuring all voters have equal access to participate in the electoral process.

Before distribution, the KPU of Batam conducted thorough checks on 27 different voting materials to confirm their completeness and condition, ensuring that each ballot box was fully equipped for the various electoral votes.
Following the schedule set by KPU Decision Number 1281 of 2023, the logistic distribution is meticulously planned to cover all districts within Batam by February 12, 2024, with the logistics expected to reach polling stations a day before the election.
The logistic distribution process involves collaboration with PT Pos Indonesia for transportation across Batam, utilizing both land and sea routes, demonstrating a coordinated effort to support the electoral process.
