Indonesia has marked a significant achievement at the ASEAN Digital Awards (ADA) 2024, securing five prestigious awards across various categories. This recognition underscores the country’s growing influence and innovation in the digital startup and private sector landscapes in Southeast Asia.
The awards, which include two gold, one silver, and two bronze, highlight Indonesia’s commitment to fostering a vibrant digital ecosystem. Bonifasius Pudjianto, Director of Digital Economy at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, lauded the achievements of the Indonesian representatives, emphasizing the government’s support through developmental programs and digital sector strategies.
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology’s 1000 Digital Startups program has been pivotal in nurturing entrepreneurs and facilitating Indonesia’s standout entries in the ADA 2024.
Indonesia showcased its top Information and Communication Technology (ICT) innovations to an esteemed jury from ASEAN and guest judges from China, Japan, and Korea.
Among the Indonesian finalists were teams Crustea and Artopologi in the Digital Startup category, and Shieldtag and Incrane in the Private Sector category, demonstrating the diversity and potential of Indonesian digital innovations.
The ADA, initiated in 2012 and previously known as the ASEAN ICT Awards, represents a prestigious platform for recognizing digital excellence in the region. The awards aim to highlight innovative products and services that significantly contribute to the digital landscape in Southeast Asia.
