PT Telkom Indonesia and PT Indosat Tbk, two leading telecommunications giants in Indonesia, have announced a strategic partnership focused on enhancing digital infrastructure through an Internet Exchange (IX) ecosystem. This partnership was solidified with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Telkom’s NeutraDC and the joint venture BDx Data Centers, Indosat, and Lintasarta, BDx Indonesia, at the Pacific Telecommunications Council 2024 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
This strategic partnership between Telkom and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison represents a significant step in enhancing Indonesia’s digital landscape. The collaboration focuses on strengthening the IX ecosystem, crucial for the country’s growing digital needs.
NeutraDC and BDx Indonesia, representing Telkom and Indosat respectively, will power this initiative, focusing on the expansion of a carrier-neutral data center footprint across major Indonesian cities, meeting tier 3 standards.
This collaboration is expected to significantly impact digital democratization across Indonesia, offering more efficient and innovative access to internet services, and is seen as a catalyst for the country’s digital economy.
