Indonesian Navy Base Lantamal IV Trains Troops for Election Security

In preparation for the 2024 elections, over 90 soldiers from the Indonesian Navy Base Lantamal IV in Batam engage in a comprehensive training program to ensure safety and order during the electoral process.

The training, led by Deputy Commander of Lantamal IV, Colonel Fajar Hernawan, focuses on preparing naval forces for maintaining public order and security during the 2024 elections in the archipelagic province.

Colonel Fajar Hernawan emphasized the importance of safety and cooperation during the training, urging soldiers to follow instructions meticulously.

The training includes riot control simulation, physical conditioning, formation exercises, managing protest crowds, and rescue operations.

Approximately 80 to 90 soldiers from the Ready Force Unit, Denma Lantamal IV, and the Marine Battalion (Yonmarhamlan) IV are participating in the training.

All equipment used by the forces has been thoroughly checked and verified to ensure optimal condition for the upcoming democratic events.

This training is part of the Navy’s obligation under the Law on Military Operations Other Than War, supporting the Indonesian National Police in maintaining public order.
