Police in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, have disrupted an alleged gambling ring operating out of the New Sugar Bar in the Jodoh area, detaining three individuals.
A covert operation by Unit 1 Satreskrim Polresta Barelang has exposed a gambling racket within a bar supposedly designated for drinking.
The Satreskrim Unit 1 team uncovered gambling activities after community tip-offs about suspicious behavior at the New Sugar Bar.
Among the arrested are a referee named Mimi, a person responsible for the establishment, Amin Sugeng, and a player, Aseng.

Officers seized around six slot machines from the location, now held as evidence at the police station.
The police are deepening their investigation, suspecting more locations in Batam may be exploiting similar gambling operations.
