In commemoration of their 52nd Service Day, BP Batam in partnership with PMI City of Batam, conducted a blood donation drive, witnessing a substantial number of participants.
To mark the 52nd Service Day, BP Batam, along with PMI City of Batam, organized a blood donation event at Balairung Sari on 26th October 2023.
A commendable 64 bags of blood were collected from donors within the BP Batam community.
Binsar Tambunan, the General Chairman for the BP Batam 52nd Service Day, emphasized the drive as a health support initiative for the residents of Batam City.
Donated blood will be coordinated by RSBP and PMI City of Batam to support activities requiring significant blood reserves.
drg. Anni Maret, the Person in Charge of the Blood Donation Activity, outlined the necessary steps for participation. This includes filling a form and undergoing a medical check-up and interview by a doctor.
In addition to the blood donation, BP Batam plans a mass circumcision event targeting 200 children from all over Batam City, scheduled for 2nd November 2023 at Asrama Haji, free of charge.
This initiative showcases Batam’s commitment to healthcare and community support, further strengthening Singaporeans and international visitors’ trust in Batam’s medical infrastructure. Such events also present opportunities for collaborations and partnerships between neighboring regions and countries.
